Basic Information

I'm originally from Wisconsin. I joined the Army when I was 18 during my senior year of high school and no matter what has happened I have never regretted that decision.
I have two cats, Lizi (13) and Lily (2). Lizi has been my constant since my sophomore year and according to a recent diagnosis she wont be with me much longer, though she is doing decent for now.
I do really like animals and would foster animals in need if I could all the time. I got the chance to try it when a stray cat I was trying to socialize gave birth outside my window. She and her four kittens lived with me for two months until I could find them homes. I've also rescued a kitten left in the road around the same time and found that one a home too.
I've been in Columbia for three years now and am unsure how much longer I'll be in the area. Therefore, I'm not looking for anything special right now.
I've been enlisted in the Army for almost ten years and unless something major changes I will be staying in it for the rest of my career. I started out as a part time Soldier and discovered that I enjoyed the work and became full time support for reserve units.
I have idle hands and most of the time will be doing multiple things at once. I enjoy building with Legos (most especially enjoy the architecture sets) and have millions of pieces now to work with. Every year (or at least I'm trying for every year) I go to a lego convention called Brickfair in Virginia and it's an awesome vacation.
I also like to do other craft projects and am a self taught crocheter. I've made things from dishcloths to afghans to baby blankets to cat toys. I'm planning to teach myself knitting next as soon as I finish the current project.
I also enjoy playing video games. Skyrim, Fallout, and Diablo are some favorites. But I got my start on Legend of Zelda and Pokémon.
I read a lot so this may not be all favorites but they are series or books I read over and over and the same goes for movies.
Books: Iron Druid Chronicles, Harry Potter, Spirit Fox, The Second Angel, Saints of Denver. But there are many books I read and like and don't read for years so I lose track of them. I read a lot.
Movies/TV: Arrow, Flash, Friends, HIMYM, Haven, Supergirl, Smallville, Age of Adaline, Heathers, Game of Thrones, Shameless, Limitless, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sherlock, Supernatural, Veronica Mars, Burn Notice, Firefly, Outlander, Once Upon a Time, Futurama, Charmed, Greys Anatomy, American Horror Story, Star Trek, Stargate, Dexter, The Host, Revenge, Legends of Tomorrow, Death Note, Psycho Pass, Big Bang Theory, True Blood, I could keep going.
Music: Craig Armstrong, Lindsey Sterling, Two Steps from Hell, Sick Puppies, Maroon 5, Two cellos, Piano Guy, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Skillet, I like musicals so a lot of that type (by the way, Victor Garber's voice is amazing).
Food: Honey Nut Cheerios, pasta, sammiches, not a fan of seafood but I like packaged tuna, pizza. My diet isn't exactly the greatest and I'm not a the best cook either. - Sign Libra
